There are many different reasons for recommending egg donation to future parents and the egg donation program is recommended for infertile couples when the woman does not have eggs or the quality of her eggs precludes a possibility of pregnancy.
If the doctor specializing in reproductive medicine, after having examined an infertile couple, prescribes using donor eggs, the couple, in coordination with their IVF Tours Georgia personal managers, can choose a suitable egg donor from the IVF Tours Georgia database.
Just fill out and e-mail our application to receive your special passcode for accessing the surrogacy and donation database.
Many women, in opting to become donors, are driven by an altruistic motivation of helping infertile couples make their dreams of becoming parents come true. The IVF Tours Georgia team, for its part, seeks to identify and locate such women willing to help infertile couples make this dream come true.
The IVF Tours Georgia team has quite a vast database of surrogate mothers and donors which is updated on a regular basis.
The donor care team assists couples in going through administrative procedures and regulating medical management issues and the IVF Tours Georgia team provides this assistance and information support 24/7 and remains in charge of information exchange through each and every stage of the process.
Egg Donor Program – Preparing
Under the donation program, the menstrual cycles of the egg donor and the patient are synchronized so that the embryo may be transferred into the future parent’s uterus with a properly prepared endometrium.
Eggs produced through follicle aspiration are mixed with the sperm of the biological father and/or donor at the ReproART Center’s embryology lab, consequently resulting in IVF (in vitro fertilization (that is, “outside the body” fertilization), and ultimately followed by transferring the embryo to the future mother’s uterus in order to achieve pregnancy.
This process is carried out by our partner organization, the ReproART Center for Reproductive Medicine, where every phase of the process meets American standards.
Filling out our egg donor application is a very simple and easy procedure with confidentiality guaranteed as the egg donor remains anonymous throughout the process of egg donation.
The blue-ribbon equipment employed at ReproART, along with its American standards and well-trained and experienced personnel, ensure the safety of treatment for donors and couples throughout the egg donation process. The prevention programs and treatment standards observed at the center enable it to avoid conditions in donors and future mothers that may require medications that can worsen or damage their health. To rule out even the slightest possibility of any complications, ReproART conducts a full set of comprehensive testing.
In the process of egg donation, ReproART prioritizes the following objectives:
- Safe treatment with stimulating drugs
- Ensure against a women’s health condition preventing pregnancy and, subsequently, obstructing the development of pregnancy
Egg donation is conducted when a woman’s body is in the best possible shape for pregnancy.
The monitoring of the process of egg donation at the ReproART Center is carried out by the center’s experienced medical personnel using two monitoring methods: ultrasound testing and laboratory testing.
Egg Donor Program – Procedures
As the ovarian follicles grow sufficiently enough, follicle aspiration is performed, a safe procedure to which patients respond very well.
The doctor identifies egg cells in the follicle liquid resulting from the aspiration procedure, tests them for their maturity stage and finally adds a sufficient amount of sperm for fertilization.
Egg fertilization is verified 18 hours after insemination and its development is monitored for a period between 24 and 72 hours.
The follicle aspiration procedure proper lasts 15-30 minutes with women patients put to sleep using IV anesthesia, this way making the egg cell aspiration a painless and safe procedure. After a few hours of rest under the doctor’s supervision following the procedure, the patient is discharged to return to her everyday activities. A follow-upultrasound test is done a week later and the doctor examines the patient.
The best embryo is transferred into the future mother’s uterus with a thin catheter in 3-4 days after fertilization under ultrasound monitoring. This painless procedure takes only a few minutes.
In cases of successful IVF procedures, embryos are kept in the laboratory for a period between 2 and 5 days or sometime even up to 6 days. On the 5th day, the embryo develops into a blastocyst, this process allowing for the selection and transfer of 1-2 embryos, which is done to avoid multifetal pregnancy that is harmful for the mother and the fetus. The remaining embryos are frozen and may be used for achieving pregnancy in the future.
A pregnancy test is performed on the 9th-11th days after embryo transfer.
Egg donor remuneration compensation between USD 1,000 and 1,500. Once selected, donors receive their compensation on the day of aspiration procedure, or no later than 3 business days after the day of aspiration.
