1
Surrogacy and Donation Programs – Initial contact
It is very easy to put this process in motion. All you have to do is get in touch with our international patient coordinator via telephone or e-mail to exchange the necessary information. At the next stage, if necessary, a Skype appointment with the doctor may be scheduled.
2
Contract execution
After coordinating and agreeing service terms, the couple and IVF Tours Georgia will sign the service contract.
3
Service payment
After the execution of a contract, the agency is remunerated for its services based on an established time period.
4
Selecting a Surrogate Mother and Egg Donor
To access the database of surrogate mothers and egg donors, you will receive your passcode to select a surrogate mother of your choice.
5
Medical examination of a surrogate mother and egg donor
After selecting a surrogate mother and egg donor, our partner organization, the ReproART Center, will perform a thorough medical examination on them. They will complete special tests defined in the internal standards of our partner center. The cost of the examination at the ReproART Center is covered by the couple.
The positive assessment of a surrogate mother’s and egg donor’s health by the ReproART doctor marks the selection of the surrogate mother and egg donor by the couple.
6
Preparation of surrogate mothers and egg donors with medications
After having selected the surrogate mother and egg donor, the menstrual cycles of the egg donor, surrogate mother and the future mother are synchronized so that the embryo may be transferred into the surrogate mother’s uterus with a properly prepared endometrium.

8
Egg aspiration procedure
As ovarian follicles grow sufficiently enough, follicle aspiration is performed on the donor, a procedure lasting only 15-30 minutes. After a few hours of rest under the doctor’s supervision following the procedure, the patient is discharged to return to her everyday activities. A follow-up ultrasound test is done a week later and the doctor examines the patient.
9
Compensation for egg donors
Egg donors are compensated on the day of the aspiration procedure or no later than 3 business days from the aspiration procedure, as defined in the contract.
10
Embryo transfer
The embryo transfer procedure on the surrogate mother is performed at the ReproART Center. The best embryo is transferred into the surrogate mother’s uterus with a thin catheter in 3-5 days after fertilization under ultrasound monitoring. This painless procedure takes only a few minutes.
11
Successful pregnancy
A pregnancy test is performed in 9-11 days after the transfer of the embryo.
12
Compensation and accommodation for the surrogate mother
After achieving pregnancy, the surrogate mother’s health is monitored and relevant medical procedures are performed at the ReproART Center in line with American standards. The process is coordinated by the IVF Tours Georgia team of coordinators with updated information about the surrogate mother’s health provided for the couple on a regular basis.
The surrogate mother’s honorarium and accommodation are covered by the couple according to the contractual schedule.
For regulating legal issues, the couple must be in Georgia on the day of childbirth.
There is more! We offer you alternative process to further simplify the procedure for you and help you save even more!
If the couple is unable to travel to Georgia, the legal aspects must be regulated by their authorized person who signs the contract.
If the legal aspects are taken care of by the couple’s authorized person and the couple does not plan to visit Georgia until the childbirth, the biological samples (frozen sperm) must be delivered to Georgia while the couple can travel to Georgia only to pick up their child.
